PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

6/7/17 Diesel is an amazing dog and will make such a wonderful companion for the family who adopts him. He came to us as a stray, his owner did call and claim him but never came to pick him up. Diesel has been part of my pack since then and has done extremely well with the other dogs. We have dogs from 10lbs up to 140lbs and he has done well with all of them. He is not particularly fond of the puppies that come through and want to play with him, but he hasn't hurt any of them, just growls at them when they get on his nerves. He would do best in a home with a submissive dog, because he does like to be the alpha. He is not aggressive at all. We believe Diesel is about 2-3 years old. He had a case of heartworms when he came into rescue but he has been treated and is ready for a home of his own now. Diesel is house trained, crate trained, gentle, and has a very loving and kind spirit. He loves to cuddle on the bed with me when he has the chance. He weighs about 90lbs. He is more stocky rather than tall. His brindle markings are gorgeous and his amber colored eyes shine with intelligence. If you are looking for a hiking or running buddy, Diesel would be a good match. He is also a good candidate for doggy daycare or dog parks, because he is very social with other dogs. Diesel is located in Arkansas and can be transported out of state once adopted. His adoption fee is $250 and the transport fee is $140. Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
