PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

9/15/17 Dorie is a beautiful, petite girl who was rescued from a kill shelter in Louisiana. She is so sweet and loving and bonds hard to people who are kind to her. Dorie is currently in a foster home in Arkansas, where she has learned to co-exit with the resident cat, as well as several other dogs. She does well with most other dogs, but will react if they try to challenge her. She would do best in a home with a submissive dog or as the only dog. The foster's senior Golden Retriever and Dorie get along perfectly and she also does well with their Feist. There is another pit bull in the home that is the alpha and she and Dorie don't get along, due to Dorie having an alpha personality as well. Dorie is so grateful to anyone who shows her affection and kindness, and she will repay it 1000 times over with her loyalty and dedication. Dorie came to us with heartworms but has been treated and has no lasting effects, she is also spayed and up to date on shots. Dorie is located in a foster home in Arkansas but will be transported out of state once adopted. She is listed for adoption in all of the states that we offer transport to, or close to. Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
