***PLEASE READ ALL INFO BELOW*** STELLA IS LOCATED IN ARKANSAS! She is listed in all of the states where we have transport available. Please DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN ADOPTING A DOG THAT IS OUT OF STATE! 10.23.17 Stella is a 4 year old English Bulldog who was a breeder surrender. She is an incredibly sweet girl but she does have some special needs. Stella is picky about other dogs. She has gotten along with the other dogs at my house but when she went to her foster home, she has not gotten along with her dogs. With that said, her dogs have had issues with many of her fosters in the past, so I believe Stella is picking up on some negativity from them, and is on guard so she is over reactive. However, she does very well with the cats in the foster home. Stella also has some separation anxiety that causes her to drool excessively and become somewhat destructive when left alone. So she needs a home and family that will be with her most of the time, and is willing to work with her to help her gain the confidence she needs to get past her anxiety. Aside from these issues, Stella also has some cosmetic concerns. She has a bald patch on one side of her torso. The breeder who surrendered her said that she frequently developed bald patches after having a litter, but they would fill in over time. That has not been the case. This patch of hair loss has not changed and the vet said it probably will not fill in. It is most likely due to hormones, so there is a small chance that now that she's been spayed, the hair may regrow, but I wouldn't want her adopter to expect that. The other cosmetic concern is that her nipples are abnormally large. This is the reason the breeder chose not to breed her any more, thank God. She was unable to nurse her puppies due to the size of her nipples. They have reduced slightly since her spay surgery, but will probably never be a normal size. Poor Stella has a few issues to overcome, but she is so worth the effort. She has so much love to give and once you gain her trust, she will be your loyal best friend who will never leave your side.
