Rosie

Aussie-Shepherd-Collie mix | Female | 2 years old | Medium size ***Located in Newburyport, MA

1/19/2018 – Rosie is a beautiful 40-pound Aussie-Shepherd-Collie mix, roughly 2 years old, and a sweet, fun, quirky girl who is housebroken, crate trained, and knows basic commands. She is being surrendered by her owner because she has shown some signs of aggression when she feels threatened or cornered (mostly around new people, new dogs, or men in hats) – and the family has young children who sometimes create a chaotic atmosphere that stresses her out. While she will bark or moderately growl if a new or uncertain person came into the house, she has never launched herself at anyone. She would do best in a home with no children and, if another dog, it would probably be best if it was a large male (as she doesn’t then question who’s dominant). She loves to run and play and she’s very comfortable and a great companion to the adults in the her current home, so really, she’d do best with an adult (or adults) who truly wants a close companion. Rosie is located in Newburyport, MA. The owner is happy to arrange a visit or meet and great. Please contact Catherine.shane8@gmail for more info.

Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
