PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.
8/11/25 Jalapeno
 Ready to find his forever home! Don't let the spicy name fool you! Jalapeno is all sweetness! We believe he is a Catahoula/Lab mix but he is probably a mix of many breeds.
He is about 11 weeks old.
We expect him to be about 60 pounds full grown.
He is cat, dog, and kid friendly!
Almost house trained!

Jalapeño is an adorable little boy. He is full of puppy energy and is always right behind you. He plays hard and crashes hard. He is almost fully house trained. We are working on some basic training and he is learning and is food motivated. He is also learning just from watching what the other dogs in the house. We are working on walking on the leash which is new for him. I am guessing he is about 20lb but you would never know that he is the smallest dog in the house, with the other dogs being 50+ pounds. He is working on crate training. He currently sleeps with his foster mom at night. He gets into bed and finds somewhere to burrow in and sleeps the whole night. He enjoyed his Ben & Jerry’s pup cup and he loved trying watermelon! He is neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

More about JalapenoGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
