PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.
Shortie was given up by his owner to Animal Control because they no longer wanted him, his sister and also their mother. Shortie is a Rat Terrier/Corgi mix. He stands almost 8 inches tall and is 13 inches long, he is a tiny little boy. He hates being hot and if he is outside and you open the door he will be the first one in and he will run and jump on the doggie bed. When he wags his tail his whole body will wiggle. He is very much a little lover and likes to lounge around with anyone. We are working on House training and he is doing very well. His built in bedtime clock is just a little after 9pm, he completely crashes by 9:30pm and will sleep all through the night. Currently he is sleeping in a crate at night, and he does not mind it a bit. When he goes to sleep I will pick him up and put him in his crate and I never hear a peep out of him. I get up around 5:30 to 6 am and I have to wake him up. I have cats but I think him and his sister are intimidated by them because they are so much larger, so every once in a while him and his sister will team up and bark at them otherwise he acts as if they are not there unless they walk close to him and then he will run and find me because they scare him. Shortie knows how to use a Doggie Door also. I have given him a booster shot on April the 10th so he will be ready to travel any time after the 24th of April after he receives his 2nd booster. Shorty is located in Arkansas. Transport will be arranged once adopted. For more info, email kelley@adoptastrayrescue.com.
