PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.
April was given up by her owner to Animal Control because they no longer wanted her, her brother and also their mother. April is a Rat Terrier/Corgi mix. She stands almost 8 inches tall and is 13 inches long, she is a tiny little girl. When you open the door to the house she will wait for you to go in first, she has good manners. She is very much a little lover and likes to lounge around with anyone. We are working on House training and she is doing very well. Her built in bedtime clock is just a little after 9pm, she completely crashes by 9:30pm and will sleep all through the night. Currently she is sleeping in a crate at night, and she does not mind it a bit. When she goes to sleep I will pick her up and put her in the crate and I never hear a peep out of her. I get up around 5:30 to 6 am and I have to wake her up. I have cats but I think her and her brother are intimidated by them because they are so much larger, so every once in a while her and her brother will team up and bark at them otherwise she acts as if they are not there unless they walk close to her and then she will bark at them but she will put some distance between her and the cat before she barks. I think April was born with a little deformity, if you will notice in the pictures that the left side of her face kind of looks as though she is smiling it is not very noticeable I tried to get the best photos I could of her but the flash kind of makes it look a little more pronounced than what she actually looks like. Evidently is is not a burden to her at all because she is a normal happy little girl who loves to run and play, cuddle and give lots of kisses. When I am in the office on the computer or paying bills she is laying right beside me. April knows how to use a Doggie Door also. I have gave her a booster shot on April the 10th so she will be ready to travel any time after the 24th of April after she receives her 2nd booster. April is located in Arkansas. Transport will be arranged once adopted. For more info, email kelley@adoptastrayrescue.com.
