PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.
Rudy is a 1-yr-old beagle mix found abandoned in a remote rural area. He weighs about 35 pounds and stands about 18 inches at the shoulder. He is neutered, current on vaccinations and parasite-negative. He currently lives at a foster home with 12 other dogs and 5 cats. He stays outside in the yard during the day and sleeps in a crate at night, although he would probably love to sleep with one of his people. What Rudy values most is attention from his people (something he apparently lacked in his former life) and eating. He plays well with his canine companions but would prefer to have fewer competitors for food and attention. He plays a rousing game of king-of-the-mountain on the dirt pile. He requires space from the other dogs at mealtime. Rudy is smart and food-oriented. He responds well to consistent discipline, so he should prove quite trainable. He enjoys being leash-walked and rides well in the car because he is curious and likes to see new things. This boy has a lot of potential. Like any bright child, he needs someone who can love him and delight in his sweetness and high-energy personality while maintaining firm, gentle discipline. A loving, faithful human could transform this dog into a truly devoted companion. He's worth the investment. Rudy is currently located in Arkansas but transport to the northeast will be arranged once he is adopted.
