PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.
Livia was dumped outside of our small town along with her brother. ACO was called to pick them up and they ended up at our City Animal Shelter. They were in such horrible condition the ACO contacted me and of course I ran out as fast as I could to pick them up and bring them home. Livia was in much better shape than her brother but she had one ear that just looked awful from the flies biting her ear. She has gained 10lbs this last week and has started running around playing and acting like a normal puppy, her coat has gotten thick and is so so super soft, it is like touching one of those really soft fleece blankets. You can almost see the softness in her pictures. Livia is not going to be a small dog but then again she may not reach the large 75lb Lab size either but she will be a large dog her front paws are huge and webbed. Like her brother she is infatuated with Cats and is a blast to watch. When she is happy or excited to see you she will do what I call a little stomping dance with her front feet, and she has just this week added some bounce to it, I bet she could be taught to dance really easily. I am estimating them at 12 weeks right now, they seem to be going through the teething stage. They are living on my enclosed patio which has a doggie door in it and I have a medium sized igloo dog house out there for them to hide in stuffed full of blankets with one over the top and hanging down like a flap door along with 2 huge dog beds on the patio also in case the dog house is too hot for them during the day, they both know how to use the doggie door, only took a few minutes for them to learn. When I get home from work I let them in to visit until bed time, she loves the camouflage dog bed and she does not hesitate a bit when I pull the slider door open for them to come in. Neither of them like to potty on their patio they use the door quite well, I am sure that both would be very easy to housebreak. Both weigh almost 16lbs and I am feeding them Bil Jac dog food, I figured they were in such poor condition they really needed a high quality dog food and they love it. I can put down a pan of Nutro or a pan of Blue Dog food and they will wait for me to feed them the Bil Jac. Both are really sweet and very smart babies and they came from what had to be one horrible place and I want them to have the best home possible so if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me I will be happy to answer any questions to the best of my knowledge.
