PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

This sweet boy is Buddy. He was discovered in a kill shelter, where he was terrified, and rightfully so. He was on the euthanasia list because the shelter was out of space and his time was up. Buddy was so afraid that he was cowering in the corner of his kennel and would not look at anyone. But as soon as I opened the kennel door and slipped a leash on him, the was a different dog! He jumped up and walked out of there, so happy to get out! As soon as he was out of the kennel, he stopped and just rolled over for a belly rub. He is such a wonderfully sweet boy. He loves to be touched and loved. I truly believe he was someone's loved pet but for whatever reason they didn't reclaim him. Buddy is estimated 3 yrs old. He is crate trained and gets along well with other dogs. He may do best in a home with older children, as he does tend to be a little bit nervous when people reach towards him quickly, as if he thinks he's going to be hit. Buddy is located in a foster home in AR and will be transported to the northeast once adopted. Buddy has been neutered, vaccinated, and is heartworm negative. Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
