PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

DOTTIE is a female pup found abandoned with three other dogs in a rural area after their people moved away.  We know that her momma is a black lab/shepherd mix. Her daddy might have been a pit or a boxer.  Either way, she looks nothing like her mother.  We estimate her date of birth to be April 15, 2012. She stands about 20 inches at the shoulder and weighs 46 lb. as of 3/18/13.  She is de-wormed, spayed, heartworm negative and fully-vaccinated.  She is current on flea, tick and heartworm preventives. Dottie is very affectionate and friendly, not skittish at all. She
has learned to sit for a treat and walk on leash. She is crate-trained for sleeping at night and kennels like a pro. She is house-trained and knows how to use the doggie-door. She is very
smart and food-motivated and has proven to be easily trainable. Dottie is a sweet, gentle dog and would be good with kids. She also plays well with other dogs. This dog is currently located in Arkansas and will be transported to the northeast once adopted. For more information please email kelley.aasr@gmail.com.

Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
