About Hadley

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog

1/9/13 Hadley is a wonderful little girl who was rescued from a kill shelter here in ARkansas. Hadley is about 2 years old and was an owner surrender due to financial constraints. We had Hadley spayed last week and she weighed in at 13.6lbs. She was heartworm negative and she got a clean bill of health! Hadley gets along great with other dogs and loves everyone she meets. She is currently in an indoor/outdoor kennel type situation so I can't attest to whether or not she is housetrained but I can say that she is crate trained. Hadley stays inside in a crate at night and she does not have potty accidents in her crate, nor does she bark excessively. She is a good little girl who really wants a family to love and call her own. Hadley appears to be a Brussells Griffon, possibly mixed. Her only issue that we have found is that she is a "submissive wetter". She pees when you reach towards her to pick her up. This is often times an indication of past abuse, although we do not know for sure that she has been abused. She seems very insecure and unsure of herself. I believe once she is in a home with people who love her and she learns that she is not in any danger, she will overcome this on her own. But there is no way to know for sure - there is a possibility that she will always have this little problem, so her new family should be prepared to deal with that patiently, as scolding her will only make it worse. Hadley is still located here in Arkansas and will be transported to the northeast once adotped. For more info, email kelley.aasr@gmail.com.
