PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

3/28/13 Bryson belongs to my mother's next door neighbor. They have had him for about 3 years - his whole life, and he has lived that entire time on a short chain, secluded under a deck where he doesn't even have a chance to see any people. My mom only knows about him because she was working in her yard one day and heard him whining. She climbed on top of a bucket to see over her privacy fence and she was shocked at the condition of this dog. He was emaciated. It seems that he had been given to the young man who lives in the house w/ his mother, and their excuse for the condition he was in is that they "just keep forgetting about him". They think so little of him that they don't even remember to feed him. Once my mom discovered him, she couldn't stop worrying about him. So she began going over and feeding him every day. He gets so excited to see her every time! He is now looking great and things were starting to at least look a little bit better for him. But then his owner moved away and left him behind. :( Although he didn't get any attention from him, at least he wasn't totally alone. Bryson is very lonely and sad and the only bright spot in his day is my mom going over to feed him. But she has several of her own dogs and cats and works 2 jobs and just doesn't have much time to give him. So we are trying desperately to find this sweet boy a new home, where he can get the love and attention that he deserves, and where he can live the rest of his life OFF that chain that he's been shackled to his whole life. Bryson is in Arkansas and will be transported to the northeast once he is adopted and has a home waiting on him. He will be fully vetted prior to leaving AR. Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
