About Sterling

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog

4/19/14 Sterling is a beautiful, happy, sweet natured girl who was picked up as a stray and taken in to a kill shelter. We rescued her from the shelter and it has taken some time to have her ready for adoption. Sterling had a bad case of mange that took a while to fully treat, but as you can see, she is healthy now, with a beautiful, full, wavy, gray coat! She is about 5 months old now and weighs about 30lbs. We estimate her adult weight at 50lbs. She is a very unique little girl and will make an excellent companion. Sterling is very high energy and would do very well with a family who will have the time to give her plenty of exercise. she would be the perfect running partner. Being a rescue, there is not a lot of time here for formal training, so she would likely benefit from that as well. If you have a little time and don't mind a little effort, Sterling has the potential to be an outstanding pet. She is located in Arkansas and will be transported to the northeast once adopted. Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
