PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

9/23/14 Sarah...oh, what can I say about this tiny little pixie? She is everything wonderful. She is tiny, about 7 lbs. We think she is a yorkie/dachshund mix. Sarah was surrendered to a kill shelter, about a month ago. The previous only said they didn't want a puppy to deal with. We don't know if she was a gift to someone in the family or what, but all I can say is that they missed out on a wonderful little friend. Sarah is the happiest, most outgoing, loving little girl! Her best friend is our 4 month old mastiff puppy who weighs 50lbs. Sarah is sure she is just as big. Sarah has no fear so it's important that her new home would only include pets who would not intend to harm her. She has no idea that there's anything in this world that is dangerous. She loves, loves, loves everyone she meets - men, women, children, big dogs, little dogs, old dogs, puppies. She doesn't care. She loves everyone and she is 100% certain that everyone loves her right back! Sarah may grow to be around 12-15lbs. She has the cutest little wiry coat - it looks wiry but feels soft. She has big feet for such a tiny girl, much like a dachshund. And she is a pro at catching moths in mid air. :) Sarah is now about 3 1/2 months old. She has been spayed and has received 2 sets of puppy shots. She is ready for a home of her own. She is not yet housebroke but is working on it. She will need some additional training in that area. And she loves to chew on shoes so be sure you keep them up or they will be in a million pieces. She is a typical, happy, sweet puppy. After she wears herself out playing, she loves to get in a lap and cuddle and nap. She really is everything one could want in a puppy and whoever gets her will be very lucky to have such a great little girl in their life! Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
