PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

10/25/14  This sweet girl, Lori, is about 7 years old. She has lived her entire life in the shelter, except for a few months a few years back, when she was adopted into a very loving home. But after just a few months, she was returned to the shelter when her family lost their home. Lori had a best friend at the shelter, named Mousie, who was 8 and had also lived there her whole life. Mousy was adopted a few months ago and Lori has become very depressed since then. She needs a friend and she really needs out of the shelter. The shelter has a board of directors who just met and they have decided that they will no longer allow any dogs to stay long term. They are pressuring the director to euthanize Lori, but he is trying hard not to, because he has become very attached to her over the years. Lori is an urgent case - very urgent. Her days are numbered and it would be so sad for her to die in that shelter. Lori gets along well with other dogs, but can be slightly alpha. She is not a bully at all, but if she is challenged she probably would not back down. Please help us get Lori out of the shelter. She doesn't know she is in danger but we do and we need a place for her to go before we can commit to pull her from the shelter. Please help! Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
