11/4/14 Ethan is a special guy who has had a hard way to go. He and his littermates were brought into a kill shelter when he was a 6-7week old puppy, in Dec. 2013. All of his littermates were adopted quickly but being solid black, Ethan was overlooked. He grew up in that shelter. And spent his whole puppyhood there. It was only because the director took a special interest in him that he was not euthanized, as many who came after him were. Once we found out about Ethan and how long he had been there, we had to step in and help him. He is now in a foster home where he is learning what it's like to have a family. He has several children to play with him and he loves it! As you can see in his pictures, he loves his "baby" and carries it with him everywhere. Ethan is fairly high energy but is very trainable. Having some hound in him, he is a vocal dog but responds very quickly to a training collar and learned not to continually bark within minutes of wearing one. Ethan wants to make his people happy so he is eager to please, which makes him even easier to train. He has a lot of potential and will make a wonderful companion for any family situation. He would also make a fantastic running/walking/hiking partner. Ethan is about a year old now and is ready for a home of his very own where he can continue to learn and be loved. He is located in Arkansas and will be transported to the northeast once adopted.
