PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

1/11/15 Angel is a beautiful English Bulldog who was owner surrendered. Her owner loved her very much but had to move back home with her parents and her mom's dogs were picking on Angel. After a few weeks, Angel became very defensive and it was just not a good situation for anyone. So the owner surrendered her in hopes that she would find a home where she wouldn't be bullied by other dogs. When the owner walked Angel into the shelter, Angel was happy, friendly, greeted everyone with a happy wiggle, and was just wonderful. But once her owner left and Angel was placed in a cage, her whole demeanor changed drastically. She became growly and fearful. However, once we got her into a foster home, she reverted back to the happy, sweet natured girl that her owner said she has always been. So, with that said, Angel's new family will need to be patient with her. She will be scared and leary at first and may take some time to open up and accept attention. But once she does, she is truly a wonderful dog. Her previous home included children and she was fine with them, actually she loved them. But I would say older children would be best. Her foster home includes several other dogs and several cats, all of whom Angel has accepted and has no issue with. She is housetrained to use a doggy door, and her previous owner said she was housetrained with her too, and did not have a doggy door. She walks well on a leash and her most favorite thing in the world is going for a car ride. Angel is about 2 years old and weighs about 40lbs. For more info, email Kelley.aasr@gmail.com. Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
