Thank you for considering one of our pets for adoption! A few of our dogs are located in foster homes in the northeast, but most of them are here in Arkansas until they get adopted, at which time we will arrange for transport to the northeast. We use a few different transporters, including Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport , Alpha Dog Transport and Hearts, LLC . 

We list our available dogs in several states, including CT, VT, NJ, and PA. The reason for this is simply to get them seen by as many potential adopters as possible, increasing their chances of finding loving permanent homes. The adoption process starts with an application, and includes reference checks and home visit when possible. We do require that every pet in the home is spayed/neutered and current on vaccinations, unless there is a medical reason not to do so.

We understand that it is difficult to adopt a dog without meeting him/her first. So, we would like to put your mind at ease. Once you get your new pet, if it is not a good match for some reason, you have 3 days to contact us and let us know. We will arrange for the dog to be placed in a foster home and your adoption fee will be refunded. After 3 days, we will still make arrangements for a foster home but will not be able to issue a refund. The funds collected for adoption fees are used very quickly to help fund the care of seriously ill or injured dogs that we are constantly bombarded with. The funds are also used to pay for spays/neuters for our available pets.
